A Few Faves: Body Scrubs
I don't mean to be dramatic, but the right scrub can add an inexplicable level of euphoria to the basic shower experience. Right?
Everyone knows what body scrubs are and what they're for and dot-dot-dot. The concept of use is nothing groundbreaking, HOWEVER I do have a few faves that stand apart from just being a gritty mess.
I shouted out this body polish by Trish McEvoy on my instagram because its scent is so ridiculously delicious. It's very sensual and avoids being overwhelmingly fruity. It smells "warm" if that makes any sense at all. What I love most though is how beautifully it perfumes afterward. If you try this out, I suggest not layering a bunch of fragrances on top of it. There's just no need and you'd end up knocking passerbys out. The only thing that I don't like about this scrub is that it's 60 bucks and I'm not trying to be addicted to a $60 scrub! *cries*...it is worth every penny though.
I love this one because it has the exfoliating power that we all look for when we are really trying to smooth out dry spots, but not so gritty that it doesn't cling to the skin. It glides around, which I'm a huge fan of and its not so sticky that it takes forever to rinse off. I don't love Sea Lily and Jasmine for any particular reason...green is just my favorite color lol, but it does smell great. I also love this brand generally because for every product purchased, a donation is made to Starlight Children’s Foundation.
I used this like c-r-a-z-y during my pregnancy, and now that I think about it...that might have been because this babe really smells like breakfast! Thankfully, that's not the best part and it is super moisturizing as well. It is really thick, but it leaves the skin feeling so supple which is an automatic A+ for me. I have read many reviews from eczema sufferers saying it helps tremendously, but I'm not a dermatologist so please do not take this as an official medical recommendation. I'm just sayin'. I'm not big on sticking to one line to get "maximum effects darling", but I do use this in combination with their Smoothie Star Body Milk.
A cheapy and a goodie. This one is for when the old lady spirit catches you. Chasing a 2 year old and pretending to go to the gym everyday is seriously exhausting. Like really. Epsom salt is well-well known for its relaxation properties, but I love the convenience of having it in scrub form with the addition of lavender. I sleep like a newborn after using this and it's fantastic. The Eucalyptus & Spearmint is also divine. If you don't react well to Epsom...please scroll up.
