Gotta Go: The Honeywell Harlem
My honey took me back in time to the 70s and it was sweet.
So I know in my last Gotta Go, I said that if there was one recommendation to try out of all, that was the one. Well, make this number two.
You guys know I LIVE for a theme, so The Honeywell NYC in West Harlem was right on. It places you in an instant time warp from the moment you step in - the music, decor, and chill basement environment had me feeling like I had hustled my way onto the set of a Norman Lear sitcom.
The food is easy to dig. The small bites like the Fonduey Mac n' Cheese, Chicken Apple sliders (that have whole slices of Granny Smith nestled in), and Crispy Goat Cheese were all tasty. But it's clear that 85% of the menu's effort is put into the righteous cocktails. The options are damn near overwhelming and the presentation is nothing short of fab - lava lamps, bongs, skeleton heads, the works. If you pop by my Gotta Go instastory highlights, you can see my husband's 'Monk Fashion 15' arriving smoked out in a glass coche.
Harlem itself is a gem...so this sweet spot fits right in. Let me know if you try it out and thank you for reading through my corny 70s puns.
